Radiesse
Radiesse is another popular dermal filler option. This filler diminishes the appearance of lines, wrinkles, creases, and facial folds. It has been approved by the FDA and is also used to treat certain medical conditions like vocal cord deficiencies.
Radiesse is composed of small spheres of calcium hydroxylapatite that are suspended in a gel-like substance. When this filler is injected, the microspheres form a framework in the tissues. Between these microspheres, new collagen forms. These two factors work together to fill in the wrinkles and creases on the face.
The whole procedure only takes about 15 minutes or less to complete, and there is virtually no risk of an allergic reaction, thanks to the natural components that Radiesse is made up of. The results acquired from Radiesse treatments are also quite long-lasting and can be seen for around a year or longer. As collagen builds in the skin, the results improve over time.
Restylane
Restylane is an FDA-approved cosmetic dermal filler that is made from non-animal-sourced hyaluronic acid. It was the first facial dermal filler that was approved by the FDA as a proven treatment for healing subdermal facial tissues. What this means is, unlike other dermal fillers, Restylane can be injected into the deeper layers of the skin, allowing tissue healing at the cellularlevel.In cosmetic treatments, Restylane is used to treat wrinkles and other age-related facial conditions.
